May 2017:   Mission Trip to Sud Academy

PHSud Clear Panels (1)    SudKitchen2PHSud DesksPHSud Testimonies and Gospel

A team of volunteers from Fellowship Baptist Church in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada spent some time at Sud Academy. Pastor Paul Harbourne wrote the following about their trip there:

“We actually did a couple extra jobs we were not planning on including replacing the gutter used to catch rain water and putting in a bigger culvert to hopefully avoid flooding of the lower classrooms during rainy season.

In total we did the following:

1.  Rebuilt the kitchen with new steel, a roof with clear panels for light, new concrete on the floor, fixed the stove pipe and outfitted the kitchen with cups, pots and a new jiko.
2.  Concreted the water tank base and blocked around it so that it will never go anywhere now.
3.  Replaced the gutter going to the tank
4.  Built 8 or 9 new desks for the classrooms
5.  Replaced 4 roof panels with clear ones to give light to the classes and offices
6.  Replaced the worst section of roof
7.  Cleared the drainage ditch and replaced the culvert with one over twice as large

8.  Built concrete steps going down into the school

Plus we were able to share the gospel with all the students and staff and give some testimonies of what God has been doing in our lives.   We also did some seminars on dental health, first aid, hygiene and being a teenager.

Christmas 2016: Please consider supporting Sud Academy by making a donation as a gift to someone this Christmas. Perfect idea to thank your child’s teacher! Suggested amount is $30 to feed a classroom for a month, but any amount is greatly appreciated. Please contact Trisa Majak for details, or write a message on this website (“contact us”). A card will be provided that looks like this:
